Fun crafts and games with a turbo effect

22 Aug 2024

It is part of the Fortive Group’s philosophy to support voluntary and social commitment and to implement such activities itself. Time and again, the global group’s employees carry out activities that benefit the local community and the environment.

This August, the Anderson-Negele team organized a day for the local children’s summer program at its German site in Egg an der Günz. Under the motto “Tinkering fun with a turbo effect”, 14 children were able to get to grips with the topics of technology and electronics in two tasks and lend a hand themselves.

In one project, they were allowed to assemble a circuit board with electronic components and solder them together at an assembly workstation where sensors for dairies or breweries are usually manufactured. If everything was done correctly, a bat made of LEDs lit up on the circuit board at the end.

In the second project, the participants were allowed to build a small car powered by a mousetrap. At the end, a race was even held with the colorfully decorated vehicles to determine the best designer.

The time flew by for all the children, they had a lot of fun and, in addition to a light-up bat and a small racing car, they were also able to take home a great experience from a local manufacturing company.
