Privacy policy

Thank you for your interest in our company and for visiting our website at www.anderson-negele.com. For us, the protection of your personal data goes without saying. That is why we would like to take this opportunity to let you know how we process your personal data. The www.anderson-negele.com website is a service offered by Negele Messtechnik GmbH (hereinafter referred to as Negele).

Personal data (sometimes also referred to as person-related data) are data that basically enable a person to be identified. In this case it is irrelevant if the identity can be determined on the basis of a single piece of information, which is seldom the case. However, the more information and data that can be merged, the easier it is to identify the person. Personal data include a person’s name, address, age, e-mail address and phone number.

1 Collection, processing and storage of personal data by Negele

Negele collects, processes and stores your personal data only if this is permitted on grounds of statutory regulations or you have given your consent for this.
We obtain these data through two different channels: You have either provided us with your data or we collect them when you use our services.

1.1 Data you provide to us

You can generally use our website without having to immediately provide us with any personal information. We require personal details for some services so that we can perform the respective service quickly and in a user-friendly manner or to be able to offer you the service at all. Detailed information on all services that are offered by clients on this website can be found under the ‘Individual services’ section of this privacy policy.

1.2 Data we obtain when you use our services

Some data are generated automatically and for technical reasons as soon as you access our website. These data are stored temporarily in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the retrieved file
  • Site from which the website was accessed (referrer URL)
  • Browser used and, where necessary, the operating system of your computer and the name of your access provider

The aforementioned data are processed by us for the following purposes:

  • to ensure that a connection can be established smoothly to our website,
  • to ensure that our website is easy to use,
  • to evaluate the security and stability of the system, and
  • for other administrative purposes.

Art. 6 (1) sent. 1 (f) GDPR provides the legal basis for data processing. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes for collecting data listed above. Under no circumstances will we use the collected data to draw any conclusions about your identity.

We also use cookies and analytic services when you visit our website. Further information on this can be found under Sections 2 and 3 of this privacy policy.

1.3 Sharing data

You can contact us via email and/or an online contact form provided for this purpose on our website. In this case, the data provided by the user are stored for the purpose of processing the user’s request. We do not share your data with third parties. This does not apply to our partners whose assistance we require for processing your order/request. These include logistics partners and distributors.

We guarantee that the data shared in this manner meet statutory requirements and that data are transmitted to these third parties only. If you have any questions in this regard, please write to the following email address: dataprivacy@anderson-negele.com

1.4 Transmitting data to a third country or to an international organization

The transmission of data to recipients in countries outside the European Union (so-called third countries) is permissible where appropriate safeguards are in place to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

2 Use of cookies

2.1 Definitions

We use cookies on our website. These are small files that are created automatically by your browser and stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone or similar) when you visit our website. Cookies do not cause any damage to your device, nor do they contain any viruses, Trojans or other malware.

Information obtained from the specific device is stored on the cookie. However, this does not mean that we are immediately aware of your identity.

On the one hand, we use cookies to make it easier for you to use our website. For example, we use so-called session cookies so that we recognize that you have already visited certain pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after your visit.

In order to improve usability we also use temporary cookies which are stored on your device for a specific period of time. If you revisit our website to use our services, we automatically recognize that you have already been on our site and can see what information you provided and what settings you chose so that you do not have to re-enter these details.

On the other hand, we use cookies to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website services for you (see Section 5). These cookies enable us to automatically recognize that you have visited our website before. These cookies are automatically deleted after a defined period of time.

The data processed by cookies are necessary for the specified purposes in order to safeguard our legitimate interests and the interests of third parties pursuant to Art. 6 (1) sent. 1 (f) GDPR.

You can set your browser to display the cookies that are already on your computer or delete these, or you can configure it in such a way that only some cookies or no cookies at all are stored in future. Please note that, if you disable cookies, some features (e.g. registration) may not work properly or at all.

2.2 Use by Negele

Negele mainly uses session cookies on the website, which lose their validity when the browser is closed. We currently use cookies on our website for the following purposes to ensure that it functions properly:

3 Individual services

The measures described are used by us on the basis of Art. 6 (1) sent. 1 (f) GDPR. We use the measures for the purpose of ensuring the needs-based design and continuous optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use the measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website services for you. These interests are considered legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

Please refer to the relevant tracking tools for the respective data processing purposes and data categories.

3.1 Use of advertising analysis tools

The following tracking measures are used by us on the basis of Art. 6 (1) sent. 1 (f) GDPR. We use tracking measures for the purpose of ensuring the needs-based design and continuous optimization of our website. On the other hand, we use tracking measures to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website services for you. These interests are considered legitimate within the meaning of the aforementioned provision.

Please refer to the relevant tracking tools for the respective data processing purposes and data categories.

Google Analytics

For the purpose of ensuring the needs-based design and continuous optimization of our website, we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; (hereinafter referred to as “Google”). In this context, pseudonymized usage profiles are created and cookies (see Section 4) are used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website such as

  • browser type and version,
  • operating system used,
  • referrer URL (the previously visited site),
  • host name of the accessing computer (IP address),
  • time of server request,

is transmitted to a Google server in the US and stored there. The information is used to evaluate use of the website, to compile reports about website activity and to provide other services relating to website activity and Internet usage for the purposes of market research and the needs-based design of our website. This information may also be transferred to third parties if required by law or where third parties process these data. Under no circumstances will your IP address be merged with any other data held by Google. The IP addresses are anonymized so that no assignment is possible (IP masking).

You can prevent the storage of cookies on your computer by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; we should point out, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of these data by Google by downloading and installing a browser add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de).

Alternatively to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent the collection of data by Google Analytics by clicking on this link. This sets an opt-out cookie which prevents your data from being collected when you visit this website in the future. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website, and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will have to reset the opt-out cookie.

For more information on data privacy in connection with Google Analytics, please refer to the Google Analytics Help Center (https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de).

Google AdWords Conversion

We also use Google Conversion Tracking to statistically record the use of our website and to evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our website for you. Google Conversion Tracking is an analytic service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; (“Google”).

If you are forwarded to our website after clicking on a Google ad, a cookie (see Section 2) is stored on your computer by Google AdWords.

These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If a user visits certain pages of the website of an AdWords client and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the client can both see that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this website.

Each Google AdWords client is given a different cookie. This makes it impossible for cookies to be tracked through the websites of AdWords clients. The information collected with the help of the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords clients who have opted for conversion tracking. This informs the AdWords clients of the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were forwarded to a page containing a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that would enable them to personally identify users.

If you do not want to participate in the tracking process, you can also prevent the setting of the cookie required for this purpose by adjusting the browser setting that disables the automatic setting of cookies in general. You can also disable cookies for Conversion Tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “www.googleadservices.com”. Google’s privacy policy with regard to Conversion Tracking can be found here (https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html).

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager, an analytic service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; (hereinafter referred to as “Google”).

Google Tag Manager enables website tags to be managed via one interface. The actual Tag Manager tool (which implements the tags) is a cookie-less domain which does not collect any personal data. The tool triggers other tags that may collect data under certain circumstances. Google Tag Manager does not access these data. In the event that domains or cookies have been disabled, this shall apply for all tracking tags that were implemented with Google Tag Manager.

Google Dynamic Remarketing

This website uses the Remarketing feature provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; (hereinafter referred to as “Google”). The purpose of this function is to display interest-based ads to visitors to this website via the Google Display Network. The website visitor’s browser stores so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and which enable the visitor to be recognized each time he/she accesses a website that belongs to the Google network.

Ads relating to contents previously viewed by the visitor on websites that use the Google Remarketing feature can then be displayed to the visitor on these sites. By their own account, Google does not collect any personal data during this procedure. If you do not want to use the Google Remarketing feature, you can disable it by adjusting your settings accordingly at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising on the Network Advertising Initiative website by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

You can find more information on Google Remarketing and Google’s privacy policy at: http://www.google.com/privacy/ads/.

DoubleClick

DoubleClick by Google is a service offered by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). DoubleClick by Google uses cookies to display ads that are relevant to you. In this case, a pseudonymous identification number (ID) is installed on your browser to check which ads are displayed in your browser and which ads are viewed. The cookies do not contain any personal information.

The use of DoubleClick cookies enables Google and its partner websites to display ads solely on the basis of previous visits to our website or other websites. The information generated by the cookies is sent by Google to a Google server in the US for analysis and stored there. These data shall only be transmitted by Google to third parties on grounds of statutory regulations or within the scope of commissioned processing. Under no circumstances will Google merge your data with other data collected by Google.

By using our website, you hereby consent to the processing of the personal data collected by Google relating to you in the manner described above and for the specified purpose. You can prevent cookie storage by setting your browser software accordingly; please note, however, that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of our website to their full extent. You may also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website for Google, as well as the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under ‘DoubleClick opt-out extension’ at the following link: (https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/).

3.2 Use of social plug-ins Google+

Our website uses so-called social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) of the social network Google+, operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). The plug-ins can be recognized by the “+1” button on a white or colored background. You can find a list of the Google plug-ins and what they look like here: https://developers.google.com/+/plugins.

If you call up a page of our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Google servers. The content of the plug-in is transmitted directly to your browser by Google and integrated into the page. By way of this integrated content, Google receives the information that your browser has accessed the respective page of our website even if you do not have a Google+ profile or are currently not logged into Google+. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted directly from your browser to a Google server in the US and stored there.

If you are logged into Google+, Google can directly assign your visit to our website to your Google+ profile. If you interact with plug-ins, for example by pressing the “+1” button, this information is also transmitted directly to a Google server and stored there. The information is also published on Google+ and is then visible to your contacts.

Information on the purpose and scope of data collection, the further processing and use of the data by Google, your rights with regard to the above and settings to protect your privacy can be found in Google’s privacy policy: http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html

4.3 Right to object

If, after weighing up the interests on both sides, we process your data on the strength of our overriding legitimate interest, you have the right to object to this processing at any time with effect for the future on grounds relating to your particular situation.

If you exercise your right to object, we will cease processing the data concerned. We shall, however, reserve the right to continue processing your data if we can provide evidence of compelling legitimate interests in the processing that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or the purpose of the processing is for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal rights.

Where we process your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to processing of the personal data relating to you for such marketing.

4.4 Right to data portability

You have the right to request that we transmit your data to another location.

6 Automated decision-making

We do not make any automated decisions on the basis of the personal data collected.

7 Data security

We use the popular SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure in connection with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. You can see if certain pages of our website are transmitted in encrypted form by the closed padlock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.
