Milestones - Anderson Negele

2022

Anderson-Negele acquires the components business for electromagnetic flowmeters from GEA Diessel. The addition of more than 35 years of expertise in this instrumentation field completes the Anderson-Negele portfolio with an essential sensor segment and forms a further step towards becoming a full-range supplier of hygienic process instrumentation.

2019

The merger with Venture Measurements results in the integration of the Kistler-Morse, Niagara and Bindicator brands under the Anderson-Negele parent brand. With the Spartanburg site also acquired, the Group now has three production sites in Egg an der Günz / Germany, Fultonville / New York and Spartanburg / South Carolina.

2016

Anderson-Negele turned a new chapter when it integrated in to Fortive from Danaher as part of Sensing Technologies business segment. Fortive which holds a strong heritage of a globally renowned brand called Danaher is now all set to strengthen and innovate our portfolio further...*To know more*

2012

Anderson-Negele establishes a full-coverage service network with 3 sales and service offices for a fast and reliable service on the Indian subcontinent.

2011

Global Launch of the "Anderson-Negele" brand - after the confraternity with the sister-company Anderson Instrument Company in 2004 we changed our appearance to show the strong partnership between our two companies to our customers.

2010

Negele opens sales and service office in china - In order to better serve the customers in Asia Anderson-Negele has opened a sales and service office in Shanghai with the American sister company Anderson Instrument Company.

2008

Launch of the new generation of NCS capacitive limit indicators. NEGELE seeks to become the leader in limit measurement technology in hygienic and aseptic applications.

2005

Introduction of PHARMadapt, an aseptic sensor adaptation system developed specifically for the pharmaceutical industry.

2004

NEGELE joins the DANAHER group of companies, an international technology concern headquartered in the USA. Together with Anderson Instruments Co. (USA), Negele Messtechnik GmbH forms a strategic alliance in the business domain of "Water Quality".

Anderson Acquires Accurate Metering, adds Flow technologies; Acquires Negele to add technology and gain market access in EU.

1994- 2000

Introduction of Pharmaceutical –series products, catalog, and distribution channels; Development of application-specific sensors for all sanitary fluid process markets.

1993

Acquired by Danaher Corporation, a company focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

1980's

First electronic level transmitter for inventory monitoring in dairy and beverage plants; Electronic Pasteurization Controls and Digital Reference Thermometers for Grade A dairy plants.

1979

Anderson acquires Robertshaw, Fulton-Sylphon div. Adds recorders and controllers to the line.

1950's

Company designs new sanitary thermometers and pressure gauges, superior to the ones being repaired. Focus on Dairy and Food industries develops.

1930- 1940's

Frank Anderson, jeweler and clock repair expert, bankrupt in the Great Depression, begins repairing mechanical chart recorders in Buffalo, NY.

2003

NEGELE enters the field of flow measurement with a new development.

1999

The beginning of a success story! NEGELE is the first vendor on the market to introduce a capacitive limit indicator for hygienic applications.

1995

The headquarters building is enlarged, doubling the size of the production floor.

1992

Helmut Negele sells the company to an international group of investors. The company focuses more strongly on the development of sensors for hygienic applications in the food industry. In the mid-90s, NEGELE begins to steadily expands its product spectrum of temperature sensors and limit indicators to include level, turbidity and conductivity measurement equipment.

1986

Construction of the new company headquarters at Egg an der Günz in southern Germany.

1985

NEGELE is the first company to introduce a non-elastomer process adaptation with a sealing cone for hygienic applications. This adaptation system will go on to set new standards under the name of CLEANadapt.

1980 until 1985

Continuous expansion of the production of switch cabinet electronics and digital indicators. First in-house development of conductive limit switches and devices.

1978

Helmut Negele establishes the company as a one-man operation for the made-to-order instrumentation and control components for special applications.

ANDERSON-NEGELE provides application specific hygienic sensor solutions and support for safe processing in the fluid Food and Life Sciences markets.
