Sentinel DFI: Protect your high-value products against contamination

The new DFI (Diaphragm Failure Indication) Technology offers superior protection with a double pressure diaphragm and a continuous failure monitoring with automatic alarm.

16 Jan 2020

In the case of classical pressure sensors, in the rare event of diaphragm damage the product can get in contact with actuation fluid or with non-sterile interior parts. The failure of a diaphragm may even remain undetected over the period of several production batches, causing contamination with corresponding losses in product value. The special "Sentinel DFI" (Diaphragm Failure Indication) technology offers a reliable remedy. A double diaphragm improves the protection against contamination even in the event of a fracture of the outer diaphragm. But most importantly, with the continuous electronic monitoring a diaphragm failure is immediately detected and actively reported by an alarm signal, so that the sensor can be replaced before the next production cycle.

Sentinel DFI offers following advantages:

- Very high measuring accuracy due to established precision sensing technology

- Immediate alarm in case of diaphragm failure, making a sensor exchange possible at the most convenient time between two processes

- Greatest possible protection against loss of value of high-quality products caused by undetected contamination with pressure actuation fluid or unsterilized interior parts

- Simple installation with only one M12 plug, even for transmitters, by providing measured value and failure indication via only one connection

- Easy adaptation to individual applications by using the Sentinel DFI technology in pressure transmitters as well as in gauges

- Sentinel DFI Technology is available in combination with MPP Modular pressure transmitter and with EM pressure gauge

For the first time Anderson-Negele publicly presents this new Technology at Lounges Pharmaceutical Congress in Karlsruhe / Germany. At stand I3.3 you can experience the Sentinel DFI live from 28 to 30 January 2020. Nikolas Städele, sales Manager, will also give a presentation on the possibilities and advantages of this technology for improving protection against contamination in pharmaceutical processes on Tuesday, 28 January 2020 at 3 p.m. in room 4.
