DAN-HH under steam!

DAN-HH compact pressure transmitter at the Austrian jam manufacturer Darbo

Darbo, a Stans / Tirol (Austria) based third-generation family company in the food industry, produces special commercial jams and syrups for the retail market, as well as fruit preserves for the catering industry.

With approximately 300 employees, the company, which achieved a turnover of 99.7 million euros in 2008 (a good 39% from exports), is today one of Austria's leading companies. The high standard of quality that Darbo has set itself demands first-class technology in production.

The processes of the food industry put high demands on temperature resistance and reliability of the measurement technology used here.

That is why Darbo relies on Negele sensors. Moreover, our new DAN-HH compact pressure transmitter for use in high-temperature steam was introduced a short time ago.

The steam pipes are energised several times an hour and the sensor is therefore exposed to temperatures of over 130 °C and to continual temperature fluctuations. These are process conditions that are especially critical for pressure measurement and with which the DAN-HH copes easily thanks to its robust design and its electronics which are specially designed for the high temperature range.

Advantages:

  • reliable and durable, even at process temperatures up to 150 °C
  • easy to handle
  • compact stainless steel design
  • hygienic stainless steel membrane
  • 3-A certification for tri-clamp model available
